Face lifts

Face lifts are designed to reduce the slack found in the tissues of the face; a face lift tightens or excises muscle, fat and skin, producing a more youthful, rested appearance. Generally, face lift procedures only address the lower two-thirds of the face, although a surgery can combine both face lift and either eyelid surgery or brow lift. Most patients who receive this procedure are suffering from age related facial sagging or wrinkling. Over time, facial skin can become loose or stretched out and face lifts have become the preferred method of correction.

Endoscopic Face Lifts

The most popular choice for those seeking a face lift is the endoscopic procedure. By using the endoscope, a surgeon can pinpoint areas of the face for modification. This allows the surgeon to make smaller and more concentrated adjustments. This surgery has become very popular because the recovery time is drastically shorter than other facial correction techniques. The endoscopic procedure has very few complications and side effects. The incisions that are made are very small and over a short period of time become invisible. The incisions are most commonly made near the hair line or behind the ears. A small camera at the tip of a probe is placed under the skin, which allows the surgeon to see the activity under the skin. The endoscopic procedure greatly reduces swelling, bruising, and bleeding, all common side effects of most plastic surgery procedures. This procedure costs approximately $6,000.

A non-surgical face lift

A non-surgical face lift is an alternative method many people choose when seeking this procedure. The non-surgical method of face lifting is preferred because it can immediately clear up wrinkles or slight sagging. Even more so than the new and improved endoscopic procedure, non-surgical procedures require even less recovery time. This less-invasive procedure has drastically less side effects or risk of complication than the endoscopic face lift. The trade off for this non-surgical procedure is that the results are short term. The changes made during the procedure have to be re-done every few years to maintain the same appearance. Most people who receive the non-surgical procedure seek to correct very minor wrinkles or sagging of the face.
